The
Catholic Church of Jesus, Our Risen Savior of Spartanburg, South
Carolina, is a community of Christians drawn together in faith by
the Holy Spirit under the leadership of the Bishop of the Diocese
of Charleston and in communion with the universal Catholic Church
to witness and to enjoy the reign of God.
Our community is committed to being baptized into the death and
resurrection of Jesus Christ, to living the gospel, and to
celebrating the Eucharist and other sacraments. We hear the call to
be a sacrament of Jesus, Our Risen Savior.
Our community is committed to mutual support and service providing
an environment for healing, formation, reflection, growth, and
Christian fellowship. We are blessed with many gifts from God, Our
Father, and in thanksgiving we offer to Him through Jesus, Our
Risen Savior, the physical, spiritual, intellectual, and artistic
talent of our members. Our community is committed to sharing the
love of Jesus that we have received by reaching out in a spirit of
evangelization and hospitality to the larger community.
